The Amazon Itinerary
Itinerary
Friday- Arrive Atlanta no later than 6 p.m. for 9:40 p.m. flight to Manaus.
Saturday - Arrive Manaus at 4:02 a.m. – go directly to charter flight or boat location depending upon trip chosen. Some fishing may take place in afternoon on this day.
Sunday - Friday - Enjoy 6 days of fishing
Saturday - Return to Manaus at 10 a.m. and spend day around Tropical Hotel. On your own for the afternoon and evening to tour Manaus. At 9:30 p.m. you’ll depart from hotel lobby to airport for return flight to Atlanta.
Sunday - Arrive Atlanta at approximately 5:40 a.m. take individual flights to home destinations.
Your Fishing Begins
You will be given a wake-up knock on your door each morning at 6 a.m. We start early, so that you can enjoy a full day of peacock bass fishing. You may leave immediately after breakfast with your guide. A boxed lunch is available daily. If you wish to return to the cabin or boat for rest during the day, you can have your box lunch at camp. No hot lunches are prepared during the trip. Each a.m. you will depart the cabin or boat for fishing at approximately 6:45 a.m.
End of Each Fishing Day
Anglers must return to camp no later than 6 p.m. each evening. If any boat has not returned we will send a search boat to find you and escort you back to camp. It is for your safety we ask you to follow these rules closely. If you experience boat trouble, the guide is responsible to get the boat back to the main river to await help from camp. On the last day of your trip you will return to camp at 2 p.m. so staff has adequate time to service the boats and prepare for the new arrivals. This also gives our guides a much needed break between trips.
Meals
Each morning you’ll enjoy a buffet breakfast. Hot coffee is brewing before breakfast and you may help yourself to juice and coffee before breakfast begins in the dining room. After breakfast an array of cold cuts, bread, fruit and condiments is available for you to prepare your own box lunch. In addition, various types of soft drinks, beer and bottled water will be available to ice down in your coolers on the fishing boats. We strongly suggest you take a lunch break as it is very hot and humid during most fishing days. Your guide will find a nice shady area for you to take your break. Make sure you stay well hydrated throughout the day.
Dinner is a more elaborate affair and we will feature an array of beef, fish, and chicken dishes. Hors d’oeuvres and cocktails are available before dinner and after a refreshing shower. Choice of beer and wine is available with dinner. After dinner, we will be happy to serve any liquor you have picked up at the duty free shops and our bartender is happy to serve them. These liquors and mixes are at your own expense.
Final Afternoon/Evening in Manaus
When you depart camp you will be transported to a hotel for your final afternoon and evening. You are free to spend the afternoon at leisure. We are happy to make arrangements for the group to have a tour of Manaus and do some shopping. This tour, as well as the final evening meal in Manaus will be at your expense.
Return Trip to USA
You are asked to meet our representative in the hotel lobby at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday. From here, you’ll be transported to the airport for your return trip home. At the airport, you’ll form a line to proceed to check-in and to the security check. From there, you will pass through immigration where your passport will be checked and the copy of the immigration form given to you on your arrival will be collected by the immigration officer. From there proceed to the waiting area to await boarding of aircraft. A final check of carry-on bags will be conducted by the airline just prior to boarding. Enjoy your flight back to Atlanta and on to your final destination with our thanks for your vacationing with us.
PACKAGES AND PRICES
Our packages are all-inclusive except for domestic and international air fare. Trip duration is 8 days, 7 nights and 6 fishing days (full or partial). Below are prices for the 2009-2010 season.

Here is what is included in your all inclusive package:
- Greeting at airport and ground transportation

- Fishing tackle packages are available for a small rental fee
- Final night in Manaus (if necessary)
Here is what is not included:
- Fees associated with obtaining your passport or VISA
- Fees associated with pre-trip medical planning and medications
- Domestic air or ground travel from your home city to Atlanta or Miami, airport taxes, etc.
- International air fare to Manaus, Brazil, airport taxes, etc.
- Gratuities for camp personnel
- Gratuities for hotel personnel in Manaus
- Expenses in Manaus including tours and the final evening meal
- Overweight luggage charges from the airlines or charter flights
- Liquor
- Fly fishing gear
- Hotel accommodations in Atlanta or Miami (if necessary)
Deposit
At time of reservation, $1,500.00 deposit required within 10 days. The remaining amount due is payable 60 days prior to arrival. If reservation confirmed within 60 days of arrival, payment in full is required. All deposits are non-refundable.
